From Nunhead to New York City…
We’re basking here in some uncharacteristic East London sun, and we have lots to report from the world of FRiZZ…
First up we’ve got a UK Tour about to kick off, featuring a doubled-headed FRiZZ bill of DAVID GARSIDE and ART TERRY…taking in London, Sheffield, Manchester, Nottingham & Brighton, all the details of which can be found here
To whet your appetite, here’s a video clip of David performing ‘Be My Signpost’ from his Modern Mediaeval LP
Next up, FRiZZ is very proud to have two of our artists performing at the 5th annual URB ALT Festival in NYC…
ART TERRY on June 24th (alongside the Urb Alt Orchestra’s tribute to Miles Davis’ Bitches Brew, and adventurous singer-songwriter Oh My Goodness), and then on June 25th LEILA ADU (sharing a bill with ‘Urb Alt house band’ The MuthaWit Orchestra)
All the info you need for this can be found on the Urb Alt blog site
For now here’s the promo clip for title track of Leila’s ‘Dark Joan‘ album, directed by Stephen Bain…
Finally, news hot off the press that JOY JOSEPH will have a headline London show on July 9th, at the Nun’s Head in, um, Nunhead, alongside the lovely Aloosh and Bobbie Gordon !
(…we jest, but the Nun’s Head is actually a lovely venue, a newly refurbished big old South East London pub, with a friendly atmosphere, and a great upstairs venue space for live music and club nights…so venture down and investigate…this may be the last London JJ show of the summer!)…details soon – join our facebook group to stay up to date!
